Old Photographs of Woodbridge & Melton
Much of the banks of the riverside between the station and Jetty Lane were lined by Tamarisk, a species of hardy deciduous flowering shrubs. Their slender branches and feathery flower clusters were a wondrous sight. Sadly they did not survive the building of the river wall.
